County Championships

County champion – it certainly has a ring to it!
One of the busiest weeks in the calendar – each year thousands of players come together in their local area to compete in the County Championships.
Traditionally taking place on the last week of August all across the nation, the County Championships are a brilliant opportunity to put your skills to the test against similar players in your county.
As well as the usual singles and doubles events each county will often also host other activities such as family doubles competitions, BBQ’s and more.
Players of any level can enter their local County Championships – it doesn’t matter your age, ability or background – this competition is for everyone. The only restriction is that you must be eligible to compete based on your ‘Play County’. Each player can only compete in one County Championships, with eligibility determined under LTA Rules (section 66).
