Recruitment process at the LTA
At the LTA, we’re committed to creating an inclusive and welcoming experience for everyone who applies to join us. We know that recruitment can feel daunting, so we’ve outlined what you can expect when applying for a role with us, along with how we can support you along the way.
Our approach
We’re passionate about building diverse teams and ensuring everyone has an equal opportunity to succeed. Our recruitment process is designed to be:
- Fair and transparent
- Inclusive and accessible
- Focused on potential as well as experience
We encourage applications from people of all backgrounds, identities and experiences.
Your Recruitment journey
While the exact process may vary slightly depending on the role, here’s a general guide to what you can expect:
Application:
Once you’ve found a role you’re interested in, you’ll submit your application online via our careers page.
You’ll typically be asked to provide:
- A copy of an up-to-date CV
- A short supporting statement or answers to role-specific questions
Top tip: Focus on how your skills and experience match the role and our values, not just your job titles. Make sure you tailor your CV to the job and if using AI, ensure you check over the content before you submit it.
Shortlisting
Once you have applied, our Recruitment & Onboarding team will review all applications against the essential criteria for the role.
· If your application is successful, we’ll invite you to the next stage, you are not successful, you will be updated accordingly.
Interviews & assessments
Depending on the role, it is likely you will be invited to a two stage process, consisting of a Microsoft Teams interview for first stage, followed by a face to face interview at second stage. During these stages you may be asked to complete any of the following:
- A presentation
- A task
- A test
Our interviews stages provide you the opportunity to:
- Share more about your experience
- Ask questions about the role and the LTA
- Get a feel for our culture
We’ll give you as much notice and preparation information as possible so you can feel confident going into the process.
Decision and Offer
After the interview stages, we’ll review all feedback and make a decision.
If you’re successful:
- We’ll contact you with a verbal offer
- This will be followed by a written offer outlining the details and you will kick start your digital onboarding process and soon become a colleague of the LTA
If you’re not successful, we’ll aim to provide feedback wherever possible to support your development and future applications.
Reasonable Adjustments
We’re committed to ensuring our recruitment process is inclusive and accessible to everyone.
If you require reasonable adjustments at any stage of the process, we encourage you to let us know. This could include:
- Extra time for assessments or interviews
- Alternative formats for tasks or materials
- Adjustments to interview settings (e.g. quiet space, video off, breaks)
- Use of assistive technology
- Scheduling flexibility
We’ll always work with you to understand what support you need and ensure you can perform at your best.
You can request adjustments:
- When submitting your application, or
- At any point during the recruitment process
All requests will be handled confidentially and sensitively.
