Tennis Coach / Assistant Head Coach – Wilton Tennis Club
We are seeking an enthusiastic, experienced, and motivated Tennis Coach to join our vibrant tennis club. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate coach who enjoys working with players of all ages and abilities, from beginners taking their first steps on court to competitive players looking to elevate their game.
As a Tennis Coach, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality coaching programmes, fostering a positive club environment, and helping members achieve their personal tennis goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and professional group and individual coaching sessions.
- Develop players' technical, tactical, physical, and mental skills.
- Create a fun, inclusive, and supportive learning environment for players of all ages and abilities.
- Support the growth and development of the club's junior and adult programmes.
- Organise and assist with club events, competitions, camps, and social tennis activities.
- Monitor player progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Ensure coaching sessions are conducted safely and in accordance with club policies and safeguarding requirements.
- Act as a positive ambassador for the club and help promote tennis participation within the local community.
Wilton Coaching Ltd operates out of Wilton Tennis Club which is an outdoor tennis club which has 4 floodlit court tennis with an additional mini court which also has lights and are newly resurfaced. We also have a good-sized clubhouse which has changing rooms, bar, table tennis table and will also be revamped in 2021.
We are only a 0.5 mile walk from the town centre and are surrounded by lots of houses and potential customers.
Wilton Tennis Club boasts a thriving coaching programme, welcoming 500–600 players each term, alongside a busy and well-established weekday adult programme.
This creates exceptional earning potential, with a strong demand for daytime coaching. Coaches can typically build 20-30 hours of individual lessons during weekday daytime hours alone, in addition to group coaching opportunities.
As a result, the successful candidate can expect to have over 40 hours of coaching work available within their first month at the club.
Individual coaching rates: £47–£57 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience.
LTA Level 3 or Level 4 Accredited/Accredited+
Confident leading junior groups (ages 4–16)
Reliable, organised, and comfortable managing busy sessions
Strong communication skills with children and parents
Positive, friendly, and professional coaching manner
Ability to work independently and as part of a coaching team
Current DBS, First Aid, and Safeguarding certificates
Willingness to take on additional hours as the programme expands
